National Scholarship Benefit
As a fraternal benefit society, National Mutual Benefit has a strong commitment to encourage its youth members to volunteer in their respective communities. Young volunteers will become responsible, resourceful, caring adults. National Mutual Benefit established a National Scholarship Benefit to demonstrate its dedication to supporting higher education, and to encourage and inspire young adults to volunteer through community service. Members who are high school seniors, or students continuing their undergraduate or technical education, are encouraged to apply for this National Scholarship Benefit in the fall of each year.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Insured under their own separate NMB life insurance or annuity contract.
- A graduating high school senior, or a student enrolling full-time in an undergraduate program or technical degree program.
- Age 25 or younger.
- Actively volunteered within the past year.
Up to $30,000 in scholarships is awarded each year to young adults who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree and who volunteer at school, church or in their community.
